ABOUT US

Hazel Clarke Institute Of Performing Arts (HCIPA) was founded in 2026 and is located in the heart of Northamptonshire. Built with a clear ambition: to bring world-class performing arts training to Northamptonshire and create an environment where talented young people can develop their skills, confidence and artistry to the highest possible standard. Our college was established in memory of Hazel Clarke, a much-loved late aunt whose generosity and belief in the power of performing helped fund the professional training of our Founder  Jacc Batch.  Hazel’s support helped make a career in the performing arts possible for our Principal. Jacc has gone on to become CEO of one of the largest group of independent dance schools in the UK. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in dance education the college has been created and will ensure that opportunity can be passed on to the next generation.

Our Vision

To provide world-class Musical Theatre and Dance training to the community of Northamptonshire and beyond, creating exceptional opportunities for the next generation of performers. We believe that outstanding training should not be limited by geography. Students in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas deserve access to the same level of ambition, expertise and professional preparation available at leading performing arts institutions elsewhere in the country – HCIPA exists to help make that level of training accessible.

Our students’ training is our priority.

Everything we do is centred around helping each student reach their individual potential. We want our students to feel supported, challenged and inspired throughout their training, while developing the discipline, resilience and professionalism required for a successful career in the performing arts. We recognise that every performer is different. Our role is to identify each student’s strengths, nurture their individuality, and give them the tools, knowledge and confidence to become the very best performer they can be.
